Hey chaps,
I have done my first few paints in the new studio. I went for gesso primed wooden blocks for these 3. The two little dogs are a birthday present for a friend. The crow is done from a photo i took in Japan.
Had a blast with them and feel like i moved forward an inch or two with the crow! All 3 images are very small paintings. The white dog is 1bout 4" squared and the black one a touch larger. The crow is about 8x6".
Got a week off work this week so hoping to get some canvases painted... loving the oils again!

nice work jake. With the pink/blue colours that crow looks like a Jon Foster! I wish I could paint as well as that.

Cool - loving the brushwork, Jacob! Keep on keeping on - I want to see more!

Good stuff. I think the crow could use another pass of deep tones. Like your blog going to go geek out browsing now. Cheers!
